Hotel Rappen in Rothenburg

The Hotel Rappen. Clean, with large modern rooms, and relatively inexpensive (with the Euro at USD1.40 nothing is 'cheap'). The waiter at the hotel was pretty rude, but other than that it was a nice place. This is just outside one of the main gates into the old town, the Wuerzburger Tor. There are many places in the old town to stay, but if they're all booked, this was pleasant, and if your luggage is on wheels it's not a bad walk from the train station. Also, if you're driving, much of the interior of the town is a pedestrian zone, so booking a hotel there could be problematic. Or at least the parking might be.
